About Me
I have worked mainly supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities both in SEND settings and mainstream schools, across all age ranges. I maintain a job working in a school to keep myself up to date with the education sector. I have seen how powerful it can be when children are given the right emotional support at the right time.
I am a mother of two, which has deepened my understanding of the everyday worries, pressures and hopes that parents carry for their children. This shapes the way I work, with care and respect, for each individual family. My approach is warm and child led and I collaborate with parents to support them in feeling more confident and less alone in responding to their child's needs.

I have been working in education for over twenty years which lead me to train as a children's therapeutic counsellor at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (University of East London). A college run by the CEO of Trauma informed Schools and Communities UK. I've always been enthralled by art and music and went to art college in my youth which equipped me with skills I use in schools everyday. I've seen first hand how children thrive on creativity, music and play and see that this really is the language of children. I was delighted to find an occupation that meant I could combine these aspects with children's mental health and wellbeing.
I am lucky enough to live in rural Suffolk, not far from the coast. I love being outside in the countryside or at the beach and think that nature plays a big part in people's mental well being. This is reflected in the therapy room I have designed for my private practice and in the mobile kit I take to schools: I incorporate as many natural resources in my creative play kit as possible because I know that children respond to this very well.
